To add negative keywords across client accounts with AI, connect your Google Ads Manager account to PaidSync.ai, then ask Claude or ChatGPT to run the wasted spend report on one client, add the terms you approve, and move to the next client. Each client keeps its own list, because every request runs on the account you switched to. PaidSync.ai runs the whole loop in one chat, so an agency can clean up every account without logging in and out.
Wasted search terms build up in every client account, and the same cleanup repeats each month. PaidSync.ai gives Claude three tools for it:
set_active_account points the chat at one client account under your Manager account.get_wasted_spend_report pulls that client's search terms for a date range and returns the ones that cost money and never converted.add_negative_keywords adds the negatives you approve to the campaigns or ad groups you choose, using the match type you set.The first two tools only read. Only the third one changes an account.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| set_active_account | Sets the client account the next requests run on |
| get_wasted_spend_report | Returns total wasted spend and the cost of each search term for the dates you pick |
| add_negative_keywords | Writes the negatives you approved to the campaigns or ad groups you named |
Two details catch people out. A negative added in one client account does not carry to another, so each client needs its own review. And decide each client's target cost per conversion first, because it sets what counts as waste.
These steps use Claude. PaidSync.ai also works in ChatGPT, and the prompts are the same.
Sign up at paidsync.ai, then connect your Google Ads Manager account on Google's own sign-in screen. There is no developer token and no Google Cloud project.
Add PaidSync.ai from Claude's connector directory and sign in. Ask "list the Google Ads accounts under my Manager account" and choose the one to work in.
Switch to the client account and ask "Run get_wasted_spend_report for the last 30 days and show the 10 search terms that cost the most."
Pick the terms to block for that client, then ask Claude to add them with add_negative_keywords. Check the campaign and match type before you confirm.
Switch to the next account and repeat with the same dates. Each client gets its own review and its own list.
Run the report again after a week for each client and compare it with the first run. Wasted spend on the blocked terms should stop, and your assistant can show both reports side by side.

Every Google Ads tool PaidSync.ai offers is on the Google Ads MCP server page. For the Manager account setup, see how agencies run Google Ads MCC with AI.
Yes, one client at a time. With PaidSync.ai connected, switch to a client account, run the wasted spend report, add the terms you approve and move to the next account.
Add them to each account in turn. A negative in one client account does not carry to another, and each client's search terms are different.
Yes. PaidSync.ai connects Google Ads to ChatGPT and to Claude, and the same tools run in both.
The report only reads. Adding a negative keyword is a change, and your assistant's own approval setting decides whether it asks first.
