To connect LinkedIn Ads to ChatGPT, install PaidSync.ai from ChatGPT's Plugins directory, sign in, and connect your account on LinkedIn's own sign-in screen. No API key or developer setup is needed. ChatGPT can then build and run LinkedIn campaigns, not only report on them: it creates campaign groups, campaigns and Sponsored Content ads as drafts that do not serve or spend, and changes budgets, bids, run dates, targeting, ad text and status. PaidSync.ai is free for 15 tasks a month with no credit card.
This is the whole route. No API key is needed at any point. ChatGPT connects with a PaidSync sign-in, and LinkedIn Ads connects through LinkedIn's own sign-in page.
PaidSync acts through your own LinkedIn sign-in, so ChatGPT can only do what your role on the ad account allows. Campaign Manager, Account Manager and Account Billing Admin can create and edit campaigns and ads. Creative Manager can create and edit ads only. Viewer can only read, even through a tool that asks for write permission. You do not need a LinkedIn developer app of your own.
With Google there is nothing to do yet. In step 4, choose Continue with Google on the PaidSync sign-in screen, and your free account is created when you press Approve.
Prefer email? Email sign-up only happens on the website, so create your account at paidsync.ai/signup first, then come back to step 3. The Free plan includes 15 tasks a month with no credit card.
OpenAI says app availability depends on the app, your ChatGPT plan, region, workspace, role, model and the ChatGPT interface you use, and that in ChatGPT Business administrators can change which apps a workspace can use. If PaidSync does not show up under Plugins in a work account, ask your workspace admin. On a personal account, skip this step.
In ChatGPT open Plugins, search PaidSync, and click Install plugin.
Sign in with your PaidSync login when prompted. That OAuth sign-in is what lets ChatGPT apply changes.
If your workspace does not show the directory, turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT settings and add a remote MCP server with the URL instead:
https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcpChoose OAuth when adding it that way, and sign in with your PaidSync login on first use.
In a ChatGPT chat, type Connect my LinkedIn Ads and open the link PaidSync returns. Sign in with the LinkedIn account that can manage your ads, on LinkedIn's own page. PaidSync never sees your LinkedIn password. Prefer a dashboard? Click Connect LinkedIn Ads in your PaidSync dashboard instead. Both routes use the same PaidSync login, so ChatGPT sees the account either way.
Then ask ChatGPT to list your LinkedIn ad accounts, set the one for your company as active, and show campaign performance for the last 30 days. Connecting LinkedIn and picking an ad account use none of your tasks.

They act through your own LinkedIn sign-in, so every change is limited to what your role on the ad account allows.
By default, new campaigns and ads start paused or as drafts, and budget edits run as a preview first.
That is a default, not a lock. ChatGPT can apply a change directly if you ask it to. Lead forms are published when created (a form alone never spends), a campaign group can be created active, and image or video uploads apply at once. A live pause or enable needs an explicit confirmation flag in the request, which ChatGPT can set when you ask it to. ChatGPT's own app permission setting is a second check you control: changes run through PaidSync's paidsync_exec tool, and that setting in ChatGPT decides when ChatGPT asks you first.
PaidSync never sees your LinkedIn password. It stores the access tokens LinkedIn issues, encrypted with AES-256 in Google Cloud (United States), and deletes them when you disconnect. You can also revoke access from your LinkedIn account settings. PaidSync asks LinkedIn for these permissions: r_ads, r_ads_reporting, rw_ads, r_basicprofile, r_organization_social, w_member_social, w_organization_social, rw_organization_admin and r_organization_admin.
Plans are counted in tasks. A task is one request from your AI assistant to PaidSync, such as reading a report or pausing an ad. PaidSync is free for 15 tasks a month on all 14 platforms, with no credit card and no time limit. After that you pay for usage, the tasks your AI runs, not seats or a share of ad spend: Pro is $99 a month for 600 tasks, $149 for 1,200 and $199 for 4,000, or $999 billed yearly for 600, and you can add tasks if you run out. Team starts at $249 a month for 5 seats sharing 6,000 tasks.
Once a few prompts work, you do not have to retype them. PaidSync can save a job as a named workflow and run it by name from a chat, on a schedule or from your own agent. A weekly LinkedIn check could pull spend, leads and cost per lead by campaign, flag the campaigns above your cost-per-lead target and preview one budget change for you to approve.
Run from ChatGPT, your app permission setting in ChatGPT decides whether ChatGPT asks before a step that changes the account. The PaidSync workflows page lists the ready-made workflows and explains how a custom one is built. Building your own agent? See how to build your own AI ads agent.
