How to Connect Meta Ads to Claude AI
You can connect Meta Ads to Claude using PaidSync.ai. Once connected, Claude can see your campaigns, find wasted spend, create audiences, manage ads, and generate reports through conversation. The whole setup takes about 5 minutes.
No coding. No spreadsheet exports. No switching between Meta Business Suite and your reporting tools. You just talk to Claude and it handles your Facebook and Instagram ads for you.
May 2026 update
Meta launched native AI Ads Connectors on April 29, 2026. Their first-party connector lets Claude and ChatGPT manage Meta Ads accounts using Meta's own MCP server. It is free, Meta-authenticated, and limited to Meta only.
PaidSync stays the better fit when you want Meta plus Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, GTM, and GA4 in the same conversation, when you need an analysis layer that flags wasted spend and creative fatigue across channels, or when you want one MCP endpoint instead of one per platform. See the side-by-side below.
What Claude Can Do with Your Meta Ads
Once your Meta Ads account is connected to Claude through PaidSync, Claude gets real-time access to your Facebook and Instagram ad data and the ability to take action on it. Here is what that looks like in practice.
- Audit your campaigns. Claude reviews your campaign structure, ad sets, targeting, placements, and creative performance. It flags problems like overlapping audiences, broad targeting burning budget, or ad sets with no conversions.
- Create and manage audiences. Tell Claude who you want to reach. It can build custom audiences from your customer lists, create lookalike audiences based on your best buyers, and search for interest-based targeting options.
- Manage ad sets and ads. Claude can create new campaigns, pause underperformers, adjust budgets, duplicate what is working, and update targeting. You approve each change before it goes live.
- Check creative fatigue. Claude analyzes ad-level performance over time to spot creatives that are losing effectiveness. It tells you which ads need to be refreshed before your costs go up.
- Track budget pacing. Ask Claude if you are on track to spend your monthly or weekly budget. It compares your current spend rate against your targets and warns you if you are overspending or underspending.
- Generate performance reports. Ask for a report on any date range. Claude pulls spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, cost per result, and ROAS. It can break results down by campaign, ad set, age, gender, placement, or country.
This is not a chatbot giving generic advice. Claude is reading your actual Meta Ads data and making real changes when you ask it to.
How to Connect Meta Ads to Claude in 3 Steps
The setup is simple and takes about 5 minutes. No technical background needed.
Sign up for PaidSync
Go to paidsync.ai/signup and create a free account with Google or email. No credit card required.
Add PaidSync to Claude
Your PaidSync dashboard shows a unique server URL. Copy it.
On Claude Desktop or claude.ai: Go to Settings, find Connected Tools (sometimes called Integrations), and paste your PaidSync URL. Claude confirms the connection in a few seconds.
On Claude Code: Add PaidSync as a remote server in your configuration file using the same URL. The docs page has the exact setup line.
Technical note: PaidSync uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect Claude to your ad accounts. You do not need to know anything about MCP to use it.
Authorize Meta Ads
In the PaidSync dashboard, click Connect Meta Ads. Sign in with the Facebook account that manages your ads and choose which ad accounts to share. Your Facebook login credentials are never stored or shared with Claude.
Once authorized, open a new conversation with Claude and ask "Show me my Meta Ads campaigns" to confirm everything is working. From here, you have full control.
Example Conversations
Here are real conversations you can have with Claude once your Meta Ads are connected. These are not developer commands. Just talk to Claude the way you would talk to a media buyer.
Two Ways to Authorize Meta Ads
PaidSync gives you two options for connecting your Meta Ads account. Both give you the same full access once connected. Pick the one that fits your situation.
Personal Login (Easiest)
Click Connect Meta Ads in the PaidSync dashboard and sign in with your Facebook account. This creates a 60-day access token that refreshes automatically in the background. You do not need to reconnect every 60 days.
This is the best option for solo advertisers, small teams, and anyone who manages their own ad accounts. It takes about 30 seconds.
Agency System User (Permanent)
If you manage ads for clients through Meta Business Manager, you can use a System User token instead. Click Agency Connect in the PaidSync dashboard and paste a System User token from your Business Manager.
This token never expires and works without a personal Facebook login. It is the best option for agencies managing multiple client accounts because it is not tied to any one person's Facebook profile.
Not sure which to pick? Start with personal login. You can switch to a system user later without losing any data.
Works with Claude Desktop, claude.ai, and Claude Code
PaidSync connects to Claude wherever you use it. The experience is the same across all three.
- Claude Desktop is the free app for Mac and Windows. Great for daily ad management because it runs in its own window alongside your other work.
- claude.ai is the web version. Works from any browser, any device. Good for quick checks when you are away from your main computer.
- Claude Code is the command-line version built for developers and power users. If you manage ads programmatically or want to build automations, this is where PaidSync really shines.
Your PaidSync account, ad connections, and conversation history stay the same no matter which version of Claude you use.
PaidSync vs Meta's Native AI Connector
Meta opened a first-party MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT on April 29, 2026. It is free, hosted by Meta, and authorized through your Facebook account. Here is when each option fits.
| What you need | Meta Native Connector | PaidSync.ai |
|---|---|---|
| Run Meta Ads from Claude or ChatGPT | Yes | Yes |
| Run Google Ads in the same chat | No, Meta only | Yes, 200+ Google Ads tools |
| Run LinkedIn Ads in the same chat | No | Yes |
| Run TikTok Ads in the same chat | No | Yes |
| GA4 and GTM in the same chat | No | Yes, 60+ tools |
| Cross-channel reporting in one prompt | No | Yes |
| Wasted-spend and creative-fatigue analysis | Read-only data | Built-in audit tools |
| Number of MCP endpoints to manage | One per platform | One for everything |
| Cost | Free | Free tier, then $49+ |
Use Meta's native connector if you only run Meta Ads, and you do not care about cross-channel reporting or audit tools.
Use PaidSync if you run paid media on more than one platform, you want one prompt to reach across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, GA4, and GTM, or you want the AI to flag wasted spend and creative fatigue without you asking.
You can also use both. Some teams keep PaidSync as the daily driver and call Meta's connector for one-off Meta tasks. They share the same conversation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a paid Claude plan to connect Meta Ads?
Claude Desktop is free and supports connected tools like PaidSync. If you use claude.ai, you need a Pro plan ($20/month). Claude Code also works with PaidSync out of the box.
Can Claude make changes to my live Meta Ads campaigns?
Yes. Claude can create campaigns, pause ad sets, adjust budgets, build audiences, and more. It always confirms with you in the conversation before making any changes. Nothing happens without your approval.
What is the difference between personal login and a system user token?
Personal login is the easiest option. You sign in with Facebook and get a 60-day token that refreshes automatically. A system user token is for agencies. You create it in Meta Business Manager, it never expires, and it works without a personal Facebook login. Both give you the same full access.
Does PaidSync also work with ChatGPT?
Yes. PaidSync works with any AI that supports connected tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and Claude Code. We have a separate guide for connecting Meta Ads to ChatGPT.
How is PaidSync different from Meta's new AI Ads Connector?
Meta's native connector launched April 29, 2026 and is excellent if you only need Meta. PaidSync covers Meta plus Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, GA4, and GTM in the same conversation, with built-in audit tools that flag wasted spend and creative fatigue. You can use both side by side, or pick PaidSync as the single connector for cross-channel paid media.
Can Claude run Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok ads from the same chat?
Yes, with PaidSync. One MCP endpoint exposes 309 tools across Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, GA4, and GTM. You can ask Claude to compare ROAS across all four ad platforms, pause underperformers on any of them, or generate a unified weekly report in one prompt.
