To connect Google Ads to the Agent Development Kit, add an McpToolset with StreamableHTTPConnectionParams pointing at https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp and send your PaidSync.ai API key in the Authorization header. The ADK agent can then call PaidSync.ai tools for Google Ads, Meta Ads and 12 other platforms.

What ADK Needs

ADK agents use an McpToolset to reach MCP servers. For PaidSync.ai you need:

ADK's docs show headers on the connection params, and say McpToolset can also manage OAuth 2.0 token refreshes through auth_scheme and auth_credential.

How the Connection Works

SettingValue
ClassMcpToolset
ConnectionStreamableHTTPConnectionParams
URLhttps://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp
HeaderAuthorization: Bearer, from an environment variable
Key limitReads and previews on Google Ads

Applying a Google Ads change needs PaidSync.ai's OAuth sign-in, and a key cannot do it. Use the key for reporting agents, and keep a person in the loop for changes.

How to Connect Google Ads to Google ADK in 5 Steps

Do these in order. The code box holds the exact setup from Google ADK MCP tools docs.

1

Connect Google Ads to PaidSync.ai

Sign up at paidsync.ai and connect Google Ads on Google's own sign-in screen.

2

Create an API key

Create a key in your dashboard and export it as PAIDSYNC_API_KEY. Never put it in the URL.

3

Add the toolset

Add the McpToolset from the box below to your LlmAgent's tools.

4

Run the agent

Start the agent with adk run or the web UI and ask about your account.

5

Check the tool call

Confirm in the event log that a PaidSync.ai tool ran.

ADK agent with PaidSync.ai

import os from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool import McpToolset from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import StreamableHTTPConnectionParams root_agent = LlmAgent( model="gemini-flash-latest", name="ads_analyst", instruction="Answer questions about the user's ad accounts with PaidSync tools.", tools=[McpToolset(connection_params=StreamableHTTPConnectionParams( url="https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp", headers={"Authorization": "Bearer " + os.environ["PAIDSYNC_API_KEY"]}, ))], )

How to Check the Connection

Start with a question that only reads, such as the account list, and check the event log for the tool call.

"List my Google Ads accounts."
Run this to confirm the connection.
"Run get_wasted_spend_report for the last 30 days and list the search terms with cost and no conversions."
Run this to confirm the connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Google ADK agents use MCP servers?

Does ADK need OAuth for PaidSync.ai?

Not for reports. A Bearer header with an API key works. ADK also documents OAuth support through auth_scheme.

Can an ADK agent change my Google Ads account?

With a key it reads and previews. Applying a Google Ads change needs the OAuth sign-in.

Does it work for Meta Ads?

Yes. The same server exposes Meta Ads tools. See the Meta Ads MCP server page.

How much does it cost?

PaidSync.ai is free for 15 tasks a month with no card. Pro starts at $99 a month. See pricing.
