To create a display campaign in Google Ads with Claude or ChatGPT, connect your Google Ads account to PaidSync.ai and ask the assistant to create a Display campaign, which sets up image ads across websites, apps and YouTube. The campaign is created paused. With a target CPA it uses Target CPA bidding, and without one it maximizes conversions.
A Display campaign shows image ads across the Google Display Network. One call creates the campaign, and ad groups and ads follow:
create_display_campaign creates a Display campaign with a name, a daily budget and an optional target CPA. It is created paused, and geo defaults to people physically in the location.create_ad_group adds a DISPLAY_STANDARD ad group to the campaign.create_responsive_display_ad creates the ad that goes into the ad group.create_display_campaign, create_ad_group and create_responsive_display_ad change it.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| create_display_campaign | Creates the paused campaign |
| create_ad_group | Adds the ad group |
| create_responsive_display_ad | Adds the responsive display ad |
Display runs on images, so prepare them first: a landscape image, a square image and a logo. Without a target CPA the campaign uses Maximize Conversions, which needs conversion tracking in place to work well.
These steps use Claude to create a display campaign. PaidSync.ai also works in ChatGPT, and the prompts are the same.
Start at paidsync.ai, then link Google Ads through Google's own sign-in screen. No developer token and no Google Cloud project are involved. The login you choose must reach the account where you will create a display campaign.
Install PaidSync.ai from Claude's connector directory and sign in. Ask "list my Google Ads accounts" and select the account to create a display campaign in.
Give the campaign a name, a daily budget and, if you want one, a target CPA in your account currency.
Ask the assistant to run create_display_campaign. It returns a preview and creates the campaign paused.
Create a DISPLAY_STANDARD ad group, then a responsive display ad, and review everything before you enable the campaign.
Ask for the campaign details and check it is paused, with the budget and bidding you set. Enable it only when an approved ad is in place.
Use these two prompts to create a display campaign, in this order.
