To edit a Facebook ad with Claude or ChatGPT, ask the assistant to change the ad's name, text, image or link, check the preview, and confirm. A creative change builds a new creative for the ad. Read the live copy first so you change the right line.
An ad can be renamed, switched on or off, or given a new creative. Your assistant reads the current copy, then edits:
list_fb_ads lists ads with their headline, body text, description and call to action.update_fb_ad edits the name or status, or points the ad at a new creative built from a new image, text and link. The list reads. update_fb_ad changes the account.
| Tool | What it needs |
|---|---|
| list_fb_ads | Reads only. Optional: an ad set ID, as text. |
| update_fb_ad | Changes the account. The ad ID, plus what changes. A new creative needs a Page, image link, link and message. |
Changing the creative of a live ad can send it back through Meta review, and it may restart learning. Test the change on a copy if the ad is doing well.
These steps use Claude. PaidSync.ai also works in ChatGPT, so you can edit a Facebook ad there with the same prompts.
Start at paidsync.ai, then approve the Meta connection on Meta's sign-in screen. Write the new text first, and have the new image as a public link if it changes.
Add the PaidSync.ai connector from Claude's directory. Sign in, ask Claude to list your Meta ad accounts and set the active one before you edit a Facebook ad.
Ask Claude for the ad's headline, body and link so the edit starts from the real text.
Say exactly what should change, for example a new headline, and Claude runs update_fb_ad as a dry run.
Read the preview. Say yes to apply. The change then appears on the ad.
List the ads again and read the new copy. In Ads Manager, check the review status of the ad.
Every Meta tool PaidSync.ai offers is on the Meta Ads MCP server page. To test a change safely, see how to duplicate a Facebook ad with AI.
Ask Claude or ChatGPT through PaidSync.ai to change the text, image or link, and approve the preview.
Yes. Give a public image link along with the Page, link and message.
It can. Meta decides, so test on a copy if the ad performs well.
Yes. A rename is a small edit with its own preview.
No. To edit a Facebook ad, the free plan with 15 tasks a month and no card is enough to start, and Pro starts at $99 a month. See pricing.
