The command

Run it headless with claude -p
The -p flag runs Claude Code without the interactive session. Sign in once through /mcp and the stored OAuth token carries over. A report that lands in a file looks like this:

What reads and what writes
Of the 14 Reddit Ads tools, 7 only read and 5 can write. Reads cover ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads and performance. Writes cover pausing and enabling campaigns, campaign budgets and names, and ad group status, daily budget, bid and name. Changes made with the update tools preview by default with dry_run, and PaidSync reads each change back from Reddit afterwards. A pause has no dry run.
Over MCP, the approval step is Claude Code’s own prompt. It asks before it runs a tool unless you allowed it with --allowedTools or in your settings. PaidSync adds checks on its side. Deletes, pauses and budget changes need confirm_destructive, and a pre-write rule check blocks unsafe arguments. The approval card, and Undo on an applied card whose change has a safe inverse, apply only in the PaidSync workspace.
What Claude Code cannot do on Reddit
- PaidSync does not create Reddit campaigns, ad groups or ads. Build them in Reddit Ads Manager, then manage them from Claude Code.
- Creative, subreddits, interests and audiences are set in Reddit Ads Manager.
- PaidSync has no Reddit delete or archive tool.
update_reddit_campaign_budgetsets the daily budget of a campaign that uses campaign budget optimization. Other daily budgets sit on the ad group.- Amounts are in your ad account’s own currency.
