To add structured snippets in Google Ads with Claude or ChatGPT, connect your Google Ads account to PaidSync.ai and ask the assistant to add a structured snippet to a campaign, which lists the types, brands or services you offer under your ad. A snippet has a header and at least three values of up to 25 characters each. PaidSync.ai previews it before it is applied.
A structured snippet puts a labelled list under your ad, for example "Types: Sedan, SUV, Truck". Claude needs one write tool and can use a read to check what the campaign already has:
list_assets shows the extensions on a campaign, including any snippets, so you do not repeat one.add_structured_snippets adds a structured snippet to a campaign. It takes a header such as Types, Brands or Courses and at least three values.list_assets only reads your account. add_structured_snippets changes it.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| list_assets | Reads the extensions already attached |
| add_structured_snippets | Writes the snippet to the campaign |
Each value is limited to 25 characters, and Google expects the values to fit the header. Brands should be real brand names and Courses should be course titles. A vague list is the usual reason a snippet is rejected.
These steps use Claude to add structured snippets. PaidSync.ai also works in ChatGPT, and the prompts are the same.
Sign up at paidsync.ai, then connect Google Ads on Google's own sign-in screen. There is no developer token and no Google Cloud project. Use the Google login that has access to the account where you want to add structured snippets.
Open Claude's connector directory, add PaidSync.ai and sign in. Ask "list my Google Ads accounts", then pick the account where you will add structured snippets.
Decide what the list is, such as Services, Brands or Destinations, and tell the assistant. The header sets what Google expects in the values.
List the values, each at 25 characters or fewer. Keep them short and specific to what the campaign sells.
Ask the assistant to run add_structured_snippets on the campaign. Check the preview, approve it, then list the campaign extensions to see the snippet.
List the extensions again and check the header and every value read the way you intended. Snippets can take time to appear in live ads because Google reviews them first.
Use these two prompts to add structured snippets, in this order.
