Connect Microsoft Ads (Bing Ads) to ChatGPT in 2 Minutes

By Ahmed Ashraf|Updated September 30, 2026
Microsoft Ads ChatGPT

To connect Microsoft Ads (Bing Ads) to ChatGPT, add the PaidSync app in ChatGPT, sign in, and ask ChatGPT to connect your Microsoft Advertising account. PaidSync is our pick because it installs without Developer mode, a developer token or an Azure app, and its 133 Microsoft Ads tools read reports and make changes inside your existing campaigns, from pauses and budgets to new ad groups, keywords and ads. Microsoft's own MCP server is read-only (checked 30 Sep 2026).

PaidSync does not create Microsoft Ads campaigns. Setup takes about 2 minutes, and it is free for 15 tasks with no credit card.

How to connect Microsoft Ads to ChatGPT with PaidSync

This is the route through the PaidSync app in ChatGPT. No API key is needed, because ChatGPT connects with a PaidSync sign-in (OAuth).

Before you start

  • PaidSync's listing is the PaidSync app, which ChatGPT now shows under Plugins. Check that the developer is Advanced Technology Labs LLC, the company that operates PaidSync. OpenAI says availability depends on your ChatGPT plan, region and workspace.
  • Signing in with Google? There is no separate sign-up. You pick Continue with Google in step 2, and your free PaidSync account (15 tasks, no credit card) is created when you press Approve.
  • Prefer an email and password? Create the account at paidsync.ai/signup before you start. Email sign-up happens on the PaidSync website, not in ChatGPT.
  • Know which Microsoft account can open your Microsoft Advertising accounts. You use it in step 3. You need no Microsoft developer token and no Azure app.
1

Add PaidSync to ChatGPT from the directory

In ChatGPT open Plugins, search PaidSync, and click Install plugin.

Sign in with your PaidSync login when prompted. That OAuth sign-in is what lets ChatGPT apply changes.

If your workspace does not show the directory, turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT settings and add a remote MCP server with the URL instead:

https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp

Choose OAuth when adding it that way, and sign in with your PaidSync login on first use.

2

Sign in to PaidSync and press Approve

The PaidSync sign-in screen opens. Pick Continue with Google, or sign in with your PaidSync email and password. A PaidSync screen then asks whether to allow access to your ad accounts via PaidSync. Press Approve and PaidSync is ready in ChatGPT.

New to PaidSync and signing in with Google? Your free account (15 tasks, no credit card) is created when you press Approve. The screen also mentions ad accounts already connected inside PaidSync. On a new account that list is empty until you finish step 3.

3

Connect your Microsoft Ads account and ask ChatGPT

In any chat, ask: "Connect my Microsoft Ads." ChatGPT replies with a link that opens Microsoft's own sign-in and consent screen. Sign in with the Microsoft account that can open your Microsoft Advertising accounts and accept. A page that says Microsoft Ads Connected appears, so close it and come back. PaidSync never sees your Microsoft password.

Then ask: "List my Microsoft Ads accounts." ChatGPT uses list_ms_accounts to show them and set_active_microsoft_account to pick the one you name. Connecting accounts and picking one uses none of your tasks. Now try: "Show my Microsoft Ads campaign performance for the last 7 days."

Free for 15 tasks with no credit card. Pro plans from $99 a month.

What PaidSync can and cannot do on Microsoft Ads

PaidSync has 133 Microsoft Ads tools. They read reports and change existing campaigns, including new ad groups, keywords and ads. They do not create campaigns. In ChatGPT, three of them, the two offline conversion uploads and the UET tag key read, are withheld because they carry hashed customer data or an access key.

What PaidSync can do

  • Read reports. ChatGPT pulls campaign, ad group, keyword, search term, conversion, location and audience performance, with spend, clicks, impressions, conversions, revenue, CTR, average CPC and ROAS.
  • Pause, enable and re-budget campaigns. ChatGPT pauses and turns campaigns back on, and changes a campaign's budget, name and status.
  • Tune what already runs. Ad group status, names and CPC bids, keyword bids, match types and status, and bid adjustments by location, device and audience.
  • Build inside an existing campaign. New ad groups, keywords, responsive search ads and dynamic search ad targets. Each new ad group, keyword and ad starts paused unless you say otherwise.
  • Clean up and track. Negative keywords and shared negative keyword lists, website exclusions, audiences, UET tags and conversion goals.

What PaidSync cannot do

  • Create campaigns. Create the campaign in Microsoft Advertising, or import it there from Google Ads. PaidSync then builds inside it.
  • Change bid strategies, labels or experiments. PaidSync has no Microsoft Ads tools for them, so those stay in Microsoft Advertising.
  • Make ad formats other than responsive search ads. Responsive search ads are the one ad type PaidSync creates or edits on Microsoft Ads.
  • Delete ads, ad groups or keywords. PaidSync pauses them instead.

Microsoft Ads prompts to try in ChatGPT

Each prompt runs on the PaidSync tools named after it and uses one or more of your tasks. Budget, negative keyword, ad group, keyword and ad changes preview by default before anything is sent to Microsoft.

  1. "Show my Microsoft Ads campaigns for the last 30 days with spend, clicks, conversions and ROAS." Runs get_ms_performance, which returns spend, clicks, impressions, conversions, revenue, CTR, average CPC and ROAS for each campaign.
  2. "Which search terms spent money in the last 30 days with no conversions? Preview adding the worst five as exact match negatives to the Brand Search campaign." Runs get_ms_search_query_performance, then add_ms_negative_keywords, which previews by default and sends nothing until you approve.
  3. "Pause the Spring Sale campaign." Runs pause_ms_campaign. Ask for enable_ms_campaign to turn it back on.
  4. "Preview raising the daily budget on the Brand Search campaign to $80." Runs update_ms_campaign_budget, which previews by default and, once applied, reads the new budget back from Microsoft to check it.
  5. "Add an ad group called Trail Shoes to the Running campaign with five phrase match keywords and one responsive search ad." Runs create_ms_adgroup, add_ms_keywords and add_ms_responsive_search_ad. Each one previews by default, and the new ad group, keywords and ad start paused.

Why use PaidSync for Microsoft Ads in ChatGPT

It makes changes, not just reports. PaidSync's Microsoft Ads tools read your data and work inside your existing campaigns, from pauses and budgets to negative keywords and new ad groups, keywords and ads.

No Developer mode, developer token or Azure app. Where ChatGPT shows Plugins, you install the PaidSync app, sign in with PaidSync and approve access on Microsoft's own consent screen.

Changes wait for you. In the PaidSync workspace, by default, every change is an approval card. In ChatGPT, budget, keyword and ad changes preview by default, and new ad groups, keywords and ads start paused.

One connection, 14 platforms. Microsoft Ads sits next to Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and 9 more platforms, 610+ tools through one endpoint, so ChatGPT can compare Microsoft and Google results in the same chat.

Other ways to connect Microsoft Ads to ChatGPT

  • Microsoft's own MCP server. Microsoft Advertising says it is available with read-only access (Microsoft Advertising, August 2026), and its setup guide has you register an Azure app with the Azure CLI and add it in ChatGPT's Developer mode (checked 30 Sep 2026).
  • Zapier. Zapier's Microsoft Advertising MCP lists four actions, all for customer lists and offline conversions (checked 30 Sep 2026).
  • Build your own. Microsoft's Bing Ads API guide asks for a developer token, valid user credentials and a registered OAuth app (checked 30 Sep 2026).

Troubleshooting Microsoft Ads in ChatGPT

  • The sign-in fails. Sign in to PaidSync the way you signed up, with Continue with Google or with your PaidSync email and password. Email users without an account create one at paidsync.ai/signup, then sign in again from the PaidSync app in ChatGPT. If Microsoft's own consent screen fails, ask ChatGPT "Connect my Microsoft Ads" again for a fresh link.
  • ChatGPT picked the wrong account. Ask ChatGPT to list your Microsoft Ads accounts and switch to the one you mean, by name or ID. It runs list_ms_accounts, then set_active_microsoft_account, and every Microsoft Ads request after that goes to the account you picked. Switching uses none of your tasks.
  • An account is not listed. PaidSync lists the Microsoft Advertising accounts that the Microsoft login you used can open. Check in Microsoft Advertising that this login has access to the account, or ask the account's admin to add you, then ask ChatGPT to list your accounts again. Still missing? Email support@paidsync.ai.
  • ChatGPT says it has no Microsoft Ads tool. PaidSync shows ChatGPT a short starter list of tools to keep the chat light. Ask ChatGPT to call paidsync_context with include_tools:['microsoft_ads']. It returns your connected platforms and the Microsoft Ads tool names, and ChatGPT then runs them through paidsync_exec. If ChatGPT does not use PaidSync at all, check that the PaidSync app is installed under Plugins.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect Microsoft Ads to ChatGPT?

Add the PaidSync app in ChatGPT. Open Plugins, search PaidSync, click Install plugin and sign in with your PaidSync login. Press Approve, then ask ChatGPT to connect your Microsoft Ads account and list your accounts. You need no API key and no Microsoft developer token. Full steps are above.

Is there an official Microsoft Ads MCP server for ChatGPT?

Yes. Microsoft Advertising runs its own MCP server with read-only access, and its setup guide has you register an Azure app with the Azure CLI and add the server in ChatGPT's Developer mode (checked 30 Sep 2026). PaidSync installs as an app with a PaidSync sign-in, and its Microsoft Ads tools read reports and make changes inside your existing campaigns.

Can ChatGPT create Microsoft Ads campaigns with PaidSync?

No. PaidSync works inside campaigns that already exist. ChatGPT can add ad groups, keywords, responsive search ads and dynamic search ad targets to them, and each new ad group, keyword and ad starts paused unless you say otherwise. Create the campaign itself in Microsoft Advertising, or import it there from Google Ads.

Which Microsoft Ads tools are not available in ChatGPT?

Three of the 133: the two offline conversion uploads and the UET tag key read. They carry hashed customer data or an access key, so PaidSync withholds them in ChatGPT and runs them in Claude. Reports, pauses, budgets, bids, negative keywords and building ad groups, keywords and ads all work in ChatGPT.

Do I need a Microsoft Advertising developer token?

No. PaidSync connects through Microsoft's own sign-in and consent screen and supplies the developer token on its side, so you never register an Azure app or paste a key.

How much does PaidSync cost?

Free for 15 tasks with no credit card. Pro is from $99 a month for 600 tasks, Team is from $249 a month for 5 seats and 6,000 tasks, and Done For You is custom. See pricing.

Does the same PaidSync connection work in Claude?

Yes. PaidSync is one endpoint, https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp, with OAuth sign-in, and the same login works in ChatGPT, Claude and Claude Code. See Connect Microsoft Ads to Claude.
