Use PaidSync. Add it from Claude's connector directory, sign in, then ask Claude to "Connect my Pinterest Ads" and allow access on Pinterest's own screen. Claude then gets 14 Pinterest Ads tools that read campaign performance and pause, enable, re-budget and edit the campaigns and ad groups you already run, on one endpoint with 610+ tools across 14 platforms. PaidSync does not create Pinterest campaigns. You build those in Pinterest Ads Manager.
Setup takes about 2 minutes. Free for 15 tasks, no credit card.
This is the route through Claude's connector directory. No API key and no Pinterest developer app are needed, because Claude connects with a PaidSync sign-in (OAuth) and PaidSync connects to Pinterest through Pinterest's own sign-in.
Before you start
Open PaidSync in the Claude connector directory and click Connect. Or, in claude.ai or the Claude Desktop app, open Customize, then Connectors, click + next to Connectors, search PaidSync, and click Connect.
Sign in with your PaidSync login. That OAuth sign-in is what lets Claude apply changes. Connectors work on every Claude plan, including Free.
Using Claude Code instead? Run claude mcp add --transport http paidsync https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp, then type /mcp inside a session to sign in.
On a client with no directory, add PaidSync as a custom connector with the server URL instead (on a Team or Enterprise plan, only an Owner can add one):
https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcpSave it, then sign in with your PaidSync login when Claude asks.
The PaidSync sign-in screen opens. Pick Continue with Google, or sign in with your PaidSync email and password. A PaidSync screen then asks whether to allow Claude to manage your ad accounts via PaidSync. Press Approve and Claude shows PaidSync as connected.
New to PaidSync and signing in with Google? Your free account (15 tasks, no credit card) is created when you press Approve. The screen also mentions ad accounts already connected inside PaidSync. On a new account that list is empty until you finish step 3.
In any chat, ask: "Connect my Pinterest Ads." Claude replies with a link that opens Pinterest's own sign-in and consent screen. Sign in with the Pinterest login that can open your ad accounts and allow access. PaidSync never sees your Pinterest password.
Come back and ask: "List my Pinterest ad accounts." Claude uses list_pinterest_accounts to show them and set_active_pinterest_account to pick the one you name. Connecting Pinterest, listing your ad accounts and picking one use none of your tasks. Then try: "Show my Pinterest campaign performance for the last 7 days." You can also connect Pinterest Ads from the PaidSync dashboard instead. Both routes use the same PaidSync login, so Claude sees the account either way.
PaidSync manages the Pinterest campaigns you already run. Through PaidSync, Claude can:
What stays in Pinterest:
The connection uses Pinterest's own OAuth sign-in, and PaidSync never sees your Pinterest password.
Each prompt runs on the PaidSync tools named after it and uses one or more of your tasks. The update tools preview a change as a dry run by default, so you see it before it applies, and read it back from Pinterest afterwards.
get_pinterest_performance, which covers every campaign in the ad account, archived ones included, when you name none.get_pinterest_performance with the click-attributed checkout columns, a 7 day click window and the view window set to 0.list_pinterest_campaigns to find it, then pause_pinterest_campaign. enable_pinterest_campaign switches it back on.list_pinterest_campaigns to read the current cap, then update_pinterest_campaign_budget, which previews by default. The amount is in your ad account's own currency.list_pinterest_adgroups, then update_pinterest_adgroup, which previews by default. Each route below was checked on its own vendor's page.
ads:read and ads:write scopes (Pinterest developer docs, checked 30 Sep 2026).PaidSync is the pick for running live Pinterest campaigns from Claude. Its 14 Pinterest tools need no developer app, and they sit next to Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok on one endpoint, https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp, with 610+ tools across 14 platforms.
This guide is for the Claude app. Claude Code users can follow the Claude Code setup page, which covers the shared .mcp.json for teams and a headless audit run. The short version is one command:
claude mcp add --transport http paidsync https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcpStart a session, type /mcp, pick paidsync, and sign in with your PaidSync login in the browser window that opens. Claude Code stores the OAuth token for you. No key is pasted anywhere. Then ask "Connect my Pinterest Ads" as in step 3.
list_pinterest_accounts, then set_active_pinterest_account, and every Pinterest request after that goes to the ad account you picked. Switching uses none of your tasks.get_pinterest_performance answers with an empty list when the ad account has no campaigns, active, paused or archived. Check that the active ad account is the one you meant.paidsync_context before anything else. It returns your connected platforms and the full tool list, Pinterest included, and Claude then runs those tools through paidsync_exec. If PaidSync is missing from Claude altogether, check that it shows as connected under Customize, then Connectors.Add PaidSync from Claude's connector directory, or in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, search PaidSync and click Connect. Sign in to PaidSync and press Approve, then ask Claude to connect your Pinterest Ads and allow access on Pinterest's own screen. No API key or Pinterest developer app is needed. Full steps are above.
Claude can list your campaigns, ad groups and ads with their status, budgets and bids, and pull campaign performance for a date range you choose: spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and checkout value, with the click, view and engagement attribution windows you set. Performance is reported at campaign level.
No. PaidSync manages what already runs on Pinterest. Claude can pause and enable campaigns, change campaign spend caps and names, and change ad group status, budgets, bids, bid strategy and names. New campaigns, ad groups, ads and Pins are made in Pinterest Ads Manager.
Pinterest announced its own MCP server on 17 June 2026 with a group of alpha partners, and its developer page still offers sign-up for launch updates (checked 30 Sep 2026). PaidSync's 14 Pinterest tools work in Claude today, next to Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok in one chat.
PaidSync is free for 15 tasks with no credit card. Pro starts at $99 a month for 600 tasks, Team starts at $249 a month for 5 seats and 6,000 tasks, and Done For You is custom. Connecting Pinterest and picking an ad account use none of your tasks.
PaidSync changes what you ask it to. The update tools for budgets, bids and settings preview a change as a dry run by default and read it back from Pinterest after it applies, and every change shows in Pinterest Ads Manager, where you can reverse it. In the PaidSync workspace, by default, every change is an approval card.
Yes. The same PaidSync login works in Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot through Copilot Studio, Cursor and Codex. Set up PaidSync once and use it from any of them.
