Connect Pinterest Ads to ChatGPT in 2 Minutes

By Ahmed Ashraf|Updated September 30, 2026
Pinterest Ads ChatGPT

Use PaidSync. In ChatGPT, open Plugins, search PaidSync and add the PaidSync app, sign in, then ask ChatGPT to "Connect my Pinterest Ads" and allow access on Pinterest's own screen. ChatGPT then gets 14 Pinterest Ads tools that read campaign performance and pause, enable, re-budget and edit the campaigns and ad groups you already run, on one endpoint with 610+ tools across 14 platforms. PaidSync does not create Pinterest campaigns. You build those in Pinterest Ads Manager.

Setup takes about 2 minutes. Free for 15 tasks, no credit card.

How to connect Pinterest Ads to ChatGPT with PaidSync

This is the route through the PaidSync app in ChatGPT. No API key and no Pinterest developer app are needed, because ChatGPT connects with a PaidSync sign-in (OAuth) and PaidSync connects to Pinterest through Pinterest's own sign-in.

Before you start

  • PaidSync's listing is the PaidSync app in ChatGPT's Plugins directory. Check that the developer is Advanced Technology Labs LLC, the company that operates PaidSync. OpenAI says availability depends on your ChatGPT plan, region and workspace.
  • Signing in with Google? There is no separate sign-up. You pick Continue with Google in step 2, and your free PaidSync account (15 tasks, no credit card) is created when you press Approve.
  • Prefer an email and password? Create the account at paidsync.ai/signup before you begin. Email sign-up happens on the PaidSync website, not in ChatGPT.
  • Know which Pinterest login can open your Pinterest ad accounts. You use it in step 3.
1

Add PaidSync to ChatGPT from the directory

In ChatGPT open Plugins, search PaidSync, and click Install plugin.

Sign in with your PaidSync login when prompted. That OAuth sign-in is what lets ChatGPT apply changes.

If your workspace does not show the directory, turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT settings and add a remote MCP server with the URL instead:

https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp

Choose OAuth when adding it that way, and sign in with your PaidSync login on first use.

2

Sign in to PaidSync and press Approve

The PaidSync sign-in screen opens. Pick Continue with Google, or sign in with your PaidSync email and password. A PaidSync screen then asks whether to allow access to your ad accounts via PaidSync. Press Approve and PaidSync is ready in ChatGPT.

New to PaidSync and signing in with Google? Your free account (15 tasks, no credit card) is created when you press Approve.

3

Connect your Pinterest Ads account and ask ChatGPT

In a chat, ask: "Connect my Pinterest Ads." ChatGPT replies with a link that opens Pinterest's own sign-in and consent screen. Sign in with the Pinterest login that can open your ad accounts and allow access. PaidSync never sees your Pinterest password.

Come back and ask: "List my Pinterest ad accounts." ChatGPT uses list_pinterest_accounts to show them and set_active_pinterest_account to pick the one you name. Connecting Pinterest, listing your ad accounts and picking one use none of your tasks. Then try: "Show my Pinterest campaign performance for the last 7 days." You can also connect Pinterest Ads from the PaidSync dashboard instead. Both routes use the same PaidSync login, so ChatGPT sees the account either way.

Free for 15 tasks, no credit card. Pro plans from $99 a month.

What PaidSync can and cannot do on Pinterest Ads

PaidSync manages the Pinterest campaigns you already run. Through PaidSync, ChatGPT can:

  • Read campaign performance. Spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and checkout value for a date range you choose, with the click, view and engagement attribution windows you set, so ChatGPT can work out ROAS.
  • List what runs. Campaigns, ad groups and ads, with their status, budgets and bids.
  • Pause and enable campaigns. Stop a campaign that is burning budget and switch it back on later.
  • Change campaign budgets. Daily or lifetime spend caps, in your ad account's own currency, plus campaign names.
  • Change ad group settings. Status, budget, bid, bid strategy and name.

What stays in Pinterest:

  • No campaign creation. New campaigns, ad groups and ads are built in Pinterest Ads Manager.
  • No Pins or catalogs. Pins are created and product catalogs are managed in Pinterest.
  • No ad group or ad reports. Performance comes back at campaign level.
  • No audience or keyword tools. Targeting beyond the ad group settings above stays in Pinterest Ads Manager.

The connection uses Pinterest's own OAuth sign-in, and PaidSync never sees your Pinterest password.

Pinterest Ads prompts to try in ChatGPT

Each prompt runs on the PaidSync tools named after it and uses one or more of your tasks. The update tools preview a change as a dry run by default, so you see it before it applies, and read it back from Pinterest afterwards.

  1. "Show my Pinterest campaigns for the last 30 days with spend, impressions, clicks and conversions." Runs get_pinterest_performance, which covers every campaign in the ad account, archived ones included, when you name none.
  2. "Show checkouts and checkout value by campaign for the last 14 days, counting clicks within 7 days and no view-through, and work out ROAS." Runs get_pinterest_performance with the click-attributed checkout columns, a 7 day click window and the view window set to 0.
  3. "Pause the Spring Home Refresh campaign." Runs list_pinterest_campaigns to find it, then pause_pinterest_campaign. enable_pinterest_campaign switches it back on.
  4. "Preview raising the daily spend cap on the Holiday Gifts campaign by 20 percent." Runs list_pinterest_campaigns to read the current cap, then update_pinterest_campaign_budget, which previews by default. The amount is in your ad account's own currency.
  5. "List my Pinterest ad groups with status, budget and bid strategy, then preview moving the Retargeting ad group to automatic bidding." Runs list_pinterest_adgroups, then update_pinterest_adgroup, which previews by default.

Other ways to connect Pinterest Ads to ChatGPT

Each route below was checked on its own vendor's page.

  • Pinterest's own MCP server. Pinterest announced it on 17 June 2026 with a group of alpha partners (Pinterest newsroom), and its developer page still offers sign-up for launch updates (checked 30 Sep 2026).
  • Build your own on the Pinterest API. Register a Pinterest developer app, then call API v5 with OAuth access tokens that carry the ads:read and ads:write scopes (Pinterest developer docs, checked 30 Sep 2026).
  • Zapier. Zapier's Pinterest integration lists New Board, New Follower and New Pin triggers and a Create Pin action, with no Pinterest Ads actions (checked 30 Sep 2026).
  • n8n. n8n has no dedicated Pinterest node, and its Pinterest page points to the HTTP Request node (checked 30 Sep 2026).

PaidSync is the pick for running live Pinterest campaigns from ChatGPT. Its 14 Pinterest tools need no developer app, and they sit next to Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok on one endpoint, https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp, with 610+ tools across 14 platforms.

Troubleshooting Pinterest Ads in ChatGPT

  • The sign-in fails. Sign in to PaidSync the way you signed up, with Continue with Google or with your PaidSync email and password. Email users without an account create one at paidsync.ai/signup, then sign in again from the PaidSync app in ChatGPT. If Pinterest's own consent screen fails, ask ChatGPT "Connect my Pinterest Ads" again for a fresh link.
  • ChatGPT picked the wrong ad account. Ask ChatGPT to list your Pinterest ad accounts and switch to the one you mean, by name or ID. It runs list_pinterest_accounts, then set_active_pinterest_account, and every Pinterest request after that goes to the ad account you picked. Switching uses none of your tasks.
  • An ad account is not listed. PaidSync lists the ad accounts that your Pinterest login can open. Check in Pinterest Ads Manager that your login has access to that ad account, or ask its owner to give you access, then ask ChatGPT to list your ad accounts again. Still missing? Email support@paidsync.ai.
  • A report comes back empty. get_pinterest_performance answers with an empty list when the ad account has no campaigns, active, paused or archived. Check that the active ad account is the one you meant.
  • ChatGPT says it has no Pinterest tool. PaidSync shows ChatGPT a short starter list of tools to keep the chat light. Ask ChatGPT to call paidsync_context before anything else. It returns your connected platforms and the full tool list, Pinterest included, and ChatGPT then runs those tools through paidsync_exec. If ChatGPT does not use PaidSync at all, check that the PaidSync app is installed under Plugins.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect Pinterest Ads to ChatGPT?

In ChatGPT open Plugins, search PaidSync, click Install plugin and sign in with your PaidSync login. Press Approve, then ask ChatGPT to connect your Pinterest Ads and allow access on Pinterest's own screen. No API key or Pinterest developer app is needed. Full steps are above.

What Pinterest Ads data can ChatGPT see?

ChatGPT can list your campaigns, ad groups and ads with their status, budgets and bids, and pull campaign performance for a date range you choose: spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and checkout value, with the click, view and engagement attribution windows you set. Performance is reported at campaign level.

Can ChatGPT create Pinterest campaigns through PaidSync?

No. PaidSync manages what already runs on Pinterest. ChatGPT can pause and enable campaigns, change campaign spend caps and names, and change ad group status, budgets, bids, bid strategy and names. New campaigns, ad groups, ads and Pins are made in Pinterest Ads Manager.

Is there an official Pinterest MCP server?

Pinterest announced its own MCP server on 17 June 2026 with a group of alpha partners, and its developer page still offers sign-up for launch updates (checked 30 Sep 2026). PaidSync's 14 Pinterest tools work in ChatGPT today, next to Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok in one chat.

How much does PaidSync cost for Pinterest Ads?

PaidSync is free for 15 tasks with no credit card. Pro starts at $99 a month for 600 tasks, Team starts at $249 a month for 5 seats and 6,000 tasks, and Done For You is custom. Connecting Pinterest and picking an ad account use none of your tasks.

Is it safe to let ChatGPT change a live Pinterest account?

PaidSync changes what you ask it to. The update tools for budgets, bids and settings preview a change as a dry run by default and read it back from Pinterest after it applies, and every change shows in Pinterest Ads Manager, where you can reverse it. In the PaidSync workspace, by default, every change is an approval card.

Does this work with Claude too?

Yes. The same PaidSync login works in ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Microsoft Copilot through Copilot Studio, Cursor and Codex. Set up PaidSync once and use it from any of them.
