Before you start
- Pick your Gemini surface in step 1. The Gemini app takes PaidSync as a custom app on a personal Google Account (18 or older, in the US, in English, with Keep Activity on). Gemini CLI, Antigravity and Gemini Enterprise cover work accounts and terminals.
- Signing in with Google? There is no separate sign-up. You pick Continue with Google in step 2, and your free PaidSync account (15 tasks, no credit card) is created when you press Approve.
- Prefer an email and password? Create the account at paidsync.ai/signup before you begin. The sign-up link inside the sign-in window opens the website and does not bring you back to Gemini.
- Know which Pinterest login can open your Pinterest ad accounts. You use it in step 3.
Add PaidSync to Gemini
Gemini app, personal account. Open gemini.google.com, go to Settings, then Connected Apps (if you do not see it, open Personal Intelligence first), and under Custom apps choose Add a custom app. Paste the PaidSync server URL and click Next. PaidSync registers itself, so there is no API key to copy and nothing to fill in under Advanced features.

Sign in to PaidSync and press Approve
The PaidSync sign-in screen opens. Pick Continue with Google, or sign in with your PaidSync email and password. A PaidSync screen then asks whether to allow Gemini to manage your ad accounts via PaidSync. Press Approve and PaidSync is connected.
New to PaidSync and signing in with Google? Your free account (15 tasks, no credit card) is created when you press Approve. The screen also mentions ad accounts already connected inside PaidSync. On a new account that list is empty until you finish step 3.
Connect your Pinterest Ads account and ask Gemini
In any chat, ask: "Connect my Pinterest Ads." Gemini replies with a link that opens Pinterest's own sign-in and consent screen. Sign in with the Pinterest login that can open your ad accounts and allow access. PaidSync never sees your Pinterest password.
Come back and ask: "List my Pinterest ad accounts." Gemini uses list_pinterest_accounts to show them and set_active_pinterest_account to pick the one you name. Connecting Pinterest, listing your ad accounts and picking one use none of your tasks. Then try: "Show my Pinterest campaign performance for the last 7 days." You can also connect Pinterest Ads from the PaidSync dashboard instead. Both routes use the same PaidSync login, so Gemini sees the account either way.
What PaidSync can and cannot do on Pinterest Ads

- Change ad group settings. Status, budget, bid, bid strategy and name.
What stays in Pinterest:
- No campaign creation. New campaigns, ad groups and ads are built in Pinterest Ads Manager.
- No Pins or catalogs. Pins are created and product catalogs are managed in Pinterest.
- No ad group or ad reports. Performance comes back at campaign level.
- No audience or keyword tools. Targeting beyond the ad group settings above stays in Pinterest Ads Manager.
The connection uses Pinterest's own OAuth sign-in, and PaidSync never sees your Pinterest password.

Troubleshooting Pinterest Ads in Gemini
- The sign-in fails. Sign in to PaidSync the way you signed up, with Continue with Google or with your PaidSync email and password. Email users without an account create one at paidsync.ai/signup, then add PaidSync in Gemini again. If Pinterest's own consent screen fails, ask Gemini "Connect my Pinterest Ads" again for a fresh link.
- Gemini picked the wrong ad account. Ask Gemini to list your Pinterest ad accounts and switch to the one you mean, by name or ID. It runs
list_pinterest_accounts, thenset_active_pinterest_account, and every Pinterest request after that goes to the ad account you picked. Switching uses none of your tasks. - An ad account is not listed. PaidSync lists the ad accounts that your Pinterest login can open. Check in Pinterest Ads Manager that your login has access to that ad account, or ask its owner to give you access, then ask Gemini to list your ad accounts again. Still missing? - A report comes back empty.
