Claude Duet is Anthropic's proactive agent, released as a research preview on 21 October 2026. It checks your connected apps every few hours, sends you a morning brief and asks before it sends, pays, signs or deletes anything. For paid media, that means a daily read on spend and pacing, an alert the day tracking breaks, and fixes drafted and waiting for your yes. Anthropic says Duet works from the connectors in your Claude account, so with PaidSync added in Claude it should be able to reach Google Ads, Meta Ads and 12 more ad and analytics platforms. Duet is open by waitlist to Claude Pro and Max subscribers in the US, and we haven't tested PaidSync inside it yet.
Claude Duet is a separate app from the Claude you chat with. The Claude app waits for you to open a chat. Duet reaches out first, with a short brief each morning and a message when something needs a decision.
It runs on Claude Opus 5.5 and works on its own cloud computer with its own browser, so your laptop doesn't need to stay on. You talk to it in one ongoing thread, by text or voice, on iOS, Android or claude.ai.
Who can use it today:
Anthropic says Duet is included in Pro and Max during the preview. It shares your plan's usage limits, and its background checks count toward them, so a long watch list uses your limits faster.
Ask Duet to brief you at a set time each morning. A good ads brief fits on one screen. It covers yesterday's spend and sales by platform, anything on pace to overspend or run out early, and the one or two things that need you today. Duet already sends a morning brief across your connected apps, so your ads land in the same message as your inbox and calendar.
Anthropic says Duet checks connected apps every few hours and only messages you when something needs attention. Give it a clear threshold, such as a campaign spending 20% over its daily budget or a monthly budget running out before the 28th. A clear number keeps it quiet on normal days.
Ask for a weekly list of search terms that spent money without a conversion. Have Duet draft the negative keywords and stop there. Adding them changes your account, so it should be your yes, not Duet's.
Duet hands back finished work as a doc, sheet or deck. A Monday cross-channel report is a natural first job: spend, conversions, cost per conversion and ROAS for every platform, with last week's change beside each number.
Broken tracking is the costliest silent failure in paid media. Smart bidding keeps spending while it learns from zero sales. A watcher that checks every few hours catches it the same day instead of the next week.
Ask Duet to compare conversions in Google Ads with purchases in GA4, and to message you if Google Ads drops to zero while GA4 still records sales. That gap almost always means a tag, not a bad day. Our guide to finding tracking errors with Claude covers the checks in detail.
One published Google Tag Manager version can remove a trigger. Ask Duet to list each newly published version and what changed, so a broken purchase tag shows up next to the time it broke.
Merchant Center disapprovals and sudden drops in Search Console clicks belong in the same brief. Both are slow to spot by hand and quick to fix once you see them.
Anthropic's own examples lean on the business apps around your ads, and several of them are marketing jobs.
Paid media belongs next to all of these. With your ad accounts connected too, the same brief can tell you that LinkedIn leads rose yesterday and that HubSpot follow-ups for them are drafted and waiting.
Anthropic says Duet can read, draft and prepare work on its own. Before it sends a message, makes a payment, signs a document or deletes anything, it shows exactly what it will do and waits for your approval. Some actions are off-limits even with approval, such as trading securities or moving money between accounts. Actions also pass Anthropic's auto mode classifier, the same safeguard used in Claude and Claude Code.
A budget change or a paused campaign isn't on that list. So set your own rule in plain words when you first connect your ads:
PaidSync adds its own checks on top. Campaign creates and budget edits start as a preview, pauses and deletes need an explicit confirm, new campaigns start paused, and a Google Ads budget change of more than 50% needs a second confirm. GA4, Merchant Center and most Tag Manager changes apply at once, which is why the ask-first rule matters most for tracking.
Duet brings the schedule and the judgment. PaidSync brings the ad accounts, and the checks around every change.
See it all on one page in PaidSync for Claude Duet.
Sign up on Anthropic's Claude Duet page with a Claude Pro or Max account in the US. Anthropic emails you when Duet is ready for your account.
Go to paidsync.ai/signup and connect Google Ads, Meta or any other platform you run. Each platform's own sign-in screen handles the login, so PaidSync never sees your ad platform passwords.
Open PaidSync in Claude's connector directory, click Connect and sign in with your PaidSync login. Already use PaidSync in Claude? Skip this step. The full walkthrough is in Connect Google Ads to Claude.
In your Duet thread, say which changes always need your approval. Budgets, bids, campaign status and tracking tags are the safe list. Reports and drafts can run without asking.
Try "Every weekday at 7, brief me on yesterday's spend by platform and tell me only what needs me." If PaidSync doesn't show up in your Duet yet, it works in every regular Claude chat.
Use a regular Claude chat when you want an answer now and plan to watch the change happen. Use Duet when the job repeats or runs while you're away, like the morning brief, pacing alerts or a launch you want watched. Anthropic says Duet uses the connectors in your Claude account, so the PaidSync connector you use in chat needs no extra setup.
Not on Duet yet? Everything above except the proactive part works in a regular chat today. See PaidSync for Claude, or compare the other new agents in Which New AI Agents Can Run Google Ads and Meta Ads in 2026 and How to Use OpenAI Dots With Google Ads and Meta Ads.
Claude Duet is Anthropic's proactive agent, released as a research preview on 21 October 2026. It runs on Claude Opus 5.5 with its own cloud computer, sends you a morning brief, checks your connected apps every few hours and messages you when something needs a decision.
Through a connector, it should. Duet uses the connectors in your Claude account, and Anthropic hasn't announced ad tools of its own for Duet. PaidSync is a connector in Claude's directory that reads and changes Google Ads, Meta Ads and 12 more platforms. We haven't tested it inside Duet yet.
Not yet. Anthropic opened Duet by waitlist to Claude Pro and Max subscribers in the US. It hasn't given dates for other countries, or for Team and Enterprise plans.
Anthropic says Duet waits for your approval before it sends, pays, signs or deletes anything. A budget or bid change isn't on that list, so tell Duet to ask first for budgets, bids, campaign status and tracking tags. PaidSync adds previews for creates and budget edits, a confirm for pauses and deletes, and paused new campaigns.
Anthropic says every few hours, and that it can miss something that arrives between check-ins. Those background checks count toward your Claude plan's usage limits. For hourly pacing, PaidSync's own agents run in the PaidSync workspace on schedules from hourly to monthly.
Duet is included in Claude Pro and Max during the preview and uses your plan's usage limits. PaidSync is free for 15 tasks a month with no credit card, then plans start at $99 a month.
PaidSync runs 630+ tools across 14 ad and analytics platforms. Add it to Claude once. Anthropic says Duet works from the same account.
